Course Description
Courses are ideal for new or existing committee members and building managers. Courses are fully customised to each scheme and provides an important introduction to, site-specific, legislative requirements, contractural obligations of the caretaking service contractor and relevant Codes of Practices to help mitigate any risks on the common property and safe guard the interests of Lot Owners and Management Rights Operators. This course is essential for any first time caretaker investor or newly elected committee member.
DAY 1:
Subject: Building Compliance 101 Training Program + STRATA MASTERY - ABMA Code Utilisation & Code of Conduct - Customised Training Course
Duration: 5 to 6 Hours
Description: Introduction to the Australian Building Management (ABMA) Code + Step-by-step review of ABMA Code standards against the site specific, Caretaking Agreement “Schedule of Duties"
DAY 2:
Subject: Body Corporate Best Practice (BCBP) - Customised Training Course
Duration: 6 to 7 Hours
Description: Introduction to the Body Corporate & Community Management Act and associated Regulation Modules
DAY 3 to DAY 4:
Subject: Regulatory Compliance Via Self Assessment (RCviaSA) - Customised Training Course
Duration: 6 to 7 Hours, PER DAY
Description: An internal check of compliance with various acts, codes of practices is conducted without the fear of students incurring infringement notices of penalties.

DAY 3 TO DAY 4, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE VIA SELF ASSESSMENT TRAINING COURSE
Course subjects include:
Course participants acquire the essential skills to perform a site-specific audit of compliance and prepare a detailed 'Building Management Report'. A comprehensive check of the common property (cleaning and gardening performance standards) and body corporate maintenance records is conducted, without the fear of the scheme incurring penalties or infringement notices.
Industry Professionals practically apply ABMA Code theory to day-to-day body corporate management practices to ensure high levels of service delivery.
For schemes greater than 24 lots, a 2 day course will apply and/or where building infrastructure is significant. To qualify for this training program, students must have successfully completed Day 1 & Day 2 of training.
Internal compliance audit checks include the following:
